Overview
UAH provides secure access to Google Gemini and NotebookLM for all faculty, staff, and researchers. Unlike public AI tools, your UAH account operates in a "walled garden" where your prompts and data are not used to train global AI models.
Accessing the Tools
- Launch: Go to the UAH Service Catalog Entry.
- Login: Use your @uah.edu email and ChargerID.
- Verify: Look for the UAH logo or "Enterprise" indicator in the top-right corner.
Usage Guidelines & FAQs
Data Security & Policy (06.01.01)
Follow UAH Policy 06.01.01:
- Permitted: Public and Private data (e.g., meeting notes, general research, drafting emails).
- Prohibited: Restricted Data. Do not input SSNs, HIPAA-protected info, or ITAR/CUI research data.
- Privacy: Gemini uses a "Clean Slate" rule; it does not remember information between separate chat threads.
Accuracy & "Hallucinations"
AI can generate incorrect or biased information.
- Human in the Loop: You are responsible for verifying all AI-generated content before use.
- Citations: Use NotebookLM for research; it provides direct citations from the documents you upload.
