Equally Effective Alternative Access Plan (EEAAP)

Updated: 7/9/26

Quick Navigation

Overview

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is committed to ensuring equal access to its information, programs, services, and activities for all individuals, including those with disabilities.

In alignment with University Policy, all Information and Communication Technology (ICT) used, developed, purchased, or implemented by UAH must be accessible and usable by everyone. When a technology cannot fully meet WCAG 2.1 A/AA accessibility requirements, an Equally Effective Alternative Access Plan (EEAAP) is required.

NOTE: The Word template for the EEAAP is available for download in the Attachments section on this page.

Plan Submission

The Office of Risk Management & Compliance (ORMC) uses Kuali to track and approve EEAAP submissions. Once you complete your plan, send it to ORMC via the EEAAP Submission Form (opens in a new tab).

Throughout the review, Kuali will send you automatic status updates. Once officially approved, you will receive a Final Approval email containing a link to your completed plan, and the document will be automatically attached to the contract in Agiloft.
