Screencast-o-Matic allows faculty and staff to become videographers. Trained users can create and upload videos for use in Canvas and on the web in support of student success. Whether you’re a staff member who supports or a faculty member who teaches, every student served by every program or office can benefit from the ability to generate instructional and promotional video within their own ranks. Screencast-o-Matic has many new features and is expanding its library of free art, music, and video clips by the day.
Screencast-o-Matic requires only a computer (laptop or desktop) with a webcam and microphone to create high quality video for delivery online, in a flipped or hybrid course model, or in worst case scenarios, for academic continuity during a weather disaster or instructor emergency.
Access to Screencast-o-Matic comes at no cost to the individual or department. The Screencast-o-Matic platform serves both Windows and PC and integrates well with Canvas and Panopto.
