Workaround for Ivanti Secure Access Client forgetting the UAH VPN connection settings

Devices with an Ivanti Secure Access Client version prior to 22.7.1.1 are presently being upgraded to that version, since it is now the earliest version supported at UAH. On devices that run Microsoft Windows, in rare cases, this upgrade causes the Secure Access Client to forget the UAH VPN settings.

Workaround 1

In most cases, the workaround is as simple as adding the connection to the client once again. The steps in the "Connection Instructions" section of the "Connecting to the UAH VPN" article are sufficient to resolve the problem.

Workaround 2

In even rarer cases, Workaround 1 works until the computer is restarted, and then it's necessary to add the connection again. In these cases, one of the following two actions must be taken to resolve the problem:

  1. In the Start menu, search the list of apps for "repair ivanti"; when "Repair Ivanti Secure Access Client" is found, select this option, and, if requested, provide the credentials of the computer's system administrator.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Have the computer's system administrator run this command on the computer:
    "%programfiles(x86)%\Pulse Secure\Pulse\PulseUninstall.exe" /repair=1
