Accessing UAH Wi-Fi

Who Can Connect?

All UAH students, prospective students, faculty, staff, and guests who have been provided with a UAH guest account can connect to the UAH Wi-Fi network.

If you are a guest without a guest account and no eduroam access, please see this article for instructions on connecting to the UAH guest network.

If you are visiting from another educational institution, you can check whether your institution participates in eduroam by visiting this website. Visitors will need to contact their institution's IT department for assistance with connecting to eduroam.

How to Connect?

Most students, faculty, and staff will be able to connect to the eduroam network by taking the following steps:

  1. In your device's network settings, select eduroam from your list of networks.
  2. You will be prompted to enter a username and password.
    • For username, enter your full UAH email address, including the @uah.edu. Please note that you must sign in with your UAH email address (eg. jc0040@uah.edu), not your email alias.
    • For password, enter your UAH password. This is the same password you use to log into myUAH, Canvas, and other UAH services.
  3. After entering your username and password, you will be connected to the network.

Have an Android device?

Users with Android devices may need to take additional steps to connect to the eduroam network. Learn how to connect your Android device to the network.

Still having trouble?

Use the UAH Get Connected wireless network or your mobile device's data plan to visit this site and use the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool. If you're on an Apple device, visit the site with Safari in order for it to work properly. It guides you through the best steps for getting connected. Pay close attention to them because accessing a profile the way it's described may be something you've not done in the past.

Also note that if you are using a third-party keyboard, such as SwiftKey, it may automatically add a space after the email address, which can cause errors.
