Overview

UAH utilizes two services for multi-factor authentication (MFA): Duo and Google 2-Step Verification.

While these MFA services are similar in how they use a secondary authentication method to verify your identity, they are not interchangeable.

How Do I Know Which MFA Service to Use?

For any Single Sign-On-enabled systems like Canvas and myUAH, Duo is required. For any Google Workspace products like Gmail and Drive, you will use Google 2-Step Verification. See the table below for more examples.
