Google 2-Step Verification

Email traffic needs protection. In order to enhance our current security and safeguard all of our users, UAH faculty, staff, and student accounts can enable Google 2-Step Verification. UAH faculty, professors emeriti, and staff are required to use this.

Google 2-Step verification is used for Google Workspace (Mail, Drive, Calendar, and other apps). It is similar to but separate from Duo. The login process for myUAH and other SSO systems will not change. This change does not replace Duo.

Google offers several options for their 2-step verification. The options include code via text, phone call, pre-defined backup code, and generating a code on demand - even if your mobile device is offline. For more information about Google 2-Step Verification, please click here.
