External Storage Options

Storage Services Provided by UAH / Supported by OIT:

Google Drive is UAH's primary cloud storage solution. Baseline account storage allocations are automatically applied based on your institutional role: Faculty (570 GB), Staff (400 GB), Students (60 GB), and Emeritus (90 GB). OIT recommends that you leverage Google Drive as much as possible. UAH has a contract that protects our FERPA data in Google Workspace.

Microsoft OneDrive is Microsoft’s storage service. Due to data limitations please be mindful of data usage. For more information on Microsoft OneDrive, visit Microsoft’s support page Microsoft OneDrive. 

Network Drive/ File Share is a service that allows the sharing of files over the network. Access must be granted by OIT.

Other Storage Services (not recommended by OIT):

iCloud is Apple’s cloud storage service. Each user must pay a subscription to access. For more information on iCloud, visit Apple’s support page iCloud support.
