Connecting and Logging in through Remote Desktop

After you have a remote desktop Icon set up on your computer, the instructions below will let you know how to connect and log in with your credentials.

1. Connect to the UAH VPN.
2. Click the UAH Remote Desktop icon (or whatever you have named it).
3. You will be prompted to enter iin authentication. Click More choices, then Use a different account.
   
   
    
4. For the username, enter in UAH\ChargerID (what you use for single sign-on, no @uah.edu is required). Use your same single sign-on password. Be sure to check Remember me at the bottom so you do not have to enter this in every time. Afterwards, click OK. **Note that the user information shown in the screenshot below is just an example.
   
   
    
5. If it successfully authenticates, you may have a window that comes up saying the identity of the computer cannot be verified and asks if you still want to connect. Check the box for Don’t ask me again for connections to this computer and click OK.
   
   
    
6. A new fullscreen window should come up that allows you to view and control your office computer. To log off, you can just click the X from the blue toolbar at the top. You can also change the window from fullscreen to a smaller window by clicking the windowed mode icon next to the X.
