Exercise restraint when forwarding UAH email to an address not on the uah.edu domain

If you choose to forward email from a @uah.edu account to an address outside the @uah.edu domain, you may be contacted by OIT with a warning. Please note that, while there is no official policy banning forwards, OIT wants to caution you against forwarding UAH email just in case it contains sensitive or FERPA-protected information. We highly recommend that you do not forward your official UAH email to a private, non-FERPA protected account.

Even though UAH is a Google email school, our uah.edu email hosted with Google is contractual with FERPA protection; a private gmail account is not.

For instructions on forwarding your email (hopefully to another @uah.edu address), see https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10957?hl=en for more Information.
