This article provides instructions on how designated approvers may approve or deny requests using OIT's Client Portal.
Overview
Some OIT ticket workflows include an Approval Step which prompts designated approvers to either approve or reject the request.
For example, when a user completes the Argos Access Request form, an approval request is automatically sent to the appropriate data custodian according to the type of data requested.
Notification
You will receive an email notification when an approval is requested. Select Complete Approval in the Client Portal to quickly jump to the approval prompt. Or, select View Service Request to view the full details of the request.

Alternatively, you may visit the My Approvals (Services tab > My Approvals) page from within the Client Portal to view all of your pending approvals.
Complete Approval
When viewing the approval in the Client Portal, you will be able to Approve or Reject the request. When selecting Approve or Reject, you may optionally add a Comment.

View the Request
When viewing the service request, you will be able to see additional details about the request as well as comment directly on the request.
