Docusign Site License at UAH

UAH now offers a campus-wide site license for Docusign, providing all faculty, staff, and students with access to the platform using their @uah.edu email address through Single Sign-On (SSO). This means that anyone with a valid UAH email address can log in to Docusign without needing to create a separate account or manage additional login information.

Docusign Access for UAH Users

By default, all UAH users have the ability to sign documents that are sent to their @uah.edu email address. This basic access is available at no cost and is ideal for individuals who simply need to review and electronically sign documents.

All UAH users can log in with their @uah.edu account and begin using Docusign to sign documents today.

Faculty and staff members who require more advanced functionality (such as the ability to create and send documents for signature, manage templates, or track the status of signed agreements) can request elevated access levels using this service form. These enhanced permissions support more complex workflows and administrative needs across academic and administrative departments.

Requesting Template Access

Access to create new Docusign templates can be granted upon request. With this access, users are able to upload PDF documents and configure them into reusable, signable templates within the Docusign platform. These templates can include pre-defined fields for signatures, initials, dates, and other required information. Once a template is created, it can be used to efficiently send the same document to multiple recipients without needing to recreate the layout or fields each time. This functionality is especially useful for commonly used forms such as contracts, agreements, or onboarding documents, helping to streamline workflows and ensure consistency across repeated transactions.

Prior to filling out a service request, please ensure the account being used for DocuSign has previously signed in using the UAH Single Sign-On (SSO) by following this article

If the account has not signed into DocuSign using this method prior to processing your request, we will be unable to assign a license to it.

You can request the elevated permission for Template Access by submitting a request via the action menu linked to this page. Once granted, you will be able to sign in to Docusign to create and send signable documents.

Consultation - Transition & Workflow Optimization

If you’ve previously used Docusign with another organization or tenant, you may need assistance transitioning to UAH’s centralized system. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is available to help with:

  • Migrating existing templates from another tenant
  • Rebuilding and configuring new templates
  • Setting up complex routing logic and conditional fields
  • Automating approval workflows
  • Using bulk send features
  • Integrating Docusign with other systems or tools used on campus

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to streamline existing processes, you can schedule a one-on-one session with OIT to review best practices and optimize your use of Docusign.

You can request the assistance by submitting a Consultation request via the action menu linked to this page.
