How to Update Your UAlert Emergency Notification Contacts

Introduction

UAlert is UAH's emergency notification system. 

To ensure you will receive urgent messages from UAH to your phone or email address, please check that your contact information in Rave Alert is up-to-date.

Steps

Phone

UAlert pulls your primary emergency notification phone number from your Banner record. To update this number, please follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to my.uah.edu with your Charger ID and password
  2. Access the menu for Personal Information
    • Students should navigate to the Student Services card and click Student Records > Personal Information
    • Faculty and staff should navigate to the Banner Links card and click Self-Service Banner (V.8) > Personal Information
  3. Select Personal Detail
  4. In the Phone section, click Add new
  5. For Phone Type, select Emergency Notification - Cell
  6. Enter your 3-digit area code and then the rest of your phone number and select Add

To add additional phone numbers to UAlert, visit http://www.getrave.com/login/uah and, in the section titled Phone, select Add.

Then, follow the prompts to enter and confirm the phone number.

Email

Your official UAH email address is automatically enrolled in Rave Alert. To add a personal email address, visit http://www.getrave.com/login/uah and, in the section titled Email, select Add.

Then, follow the prompts to enter and confirm your email address.
