Changing your Phone Number across UAH Services

Introduction

Upon receiving a new phone number, it is important to ensure that your phone number is up to date for continued access to UAH services and to receive important emergency notifications.

Steps

The following services are listed as links to Knowledge Base articles with detailed instructions on updating information. 

1. UAlert Emergency Notification Contacts

   • To ensure you will receive urgent messages from UAH to your new phone number, please check that your contact information in Rave Alert is up-to-date.

2. Update 2-step Verification and Recovery Phone on Gmail

   • If you are locked out of Gmail due to it only prompting your old phone number, please contact the OIT Helpdesk.

3. Update your phone number in Banner

   • Important for future password resets using https://reset.uah.edu

4. Update your phone number with Duo Mobile

   • It is important to ensure your phone number is up to date with Duo mobile so this contact can be used as an alternative way of authenticating, either using SMS or a phone call.
