This service is available to any UAH student living in a residence hall. There is no cost associated with this service.
Upon request, Telecommunications will install a basic telephone in your residence hall bedroom or common area, depending on Ethernet port availability. The offering is currently a Cisco 7841 telephone, which is a basic model providing phone calling ability for those who do not have access to a mobile phone, or who are unable to use one.
It's important to note that, once installed, the phone will be considered a part of the room, just like the microwave, refrigerator, etc.; as such, any damage to the phone will be assessed on move-out day.
