Zoom: Teleconference and Web conferencing Solution

Zoom is a video conferencing solution that is available to all faculty, staff, and students. It can be used for teleconferencing, too.

Faculty members, Graduate Teaching Assistants, and Staff members can start the process for having a basic account upgraded to a "Pro" account by following the steps in the attached file called "Zoom Quick Start Guide." You'll find the attachment near the bottom right corner of this page under "Files."

If you are trying to Launch Zoom from inside Canvas and you see a warning that says, “The instructor’s email is invalid” (Error Code 2216), please note that you must complete the steps in the attached Quick Start Guide before you can use Zoom from inside Canvas. Those steps allow you to correctly establish your UAH Zoom account.

If you don't have local administrative privileges on your computer, you may not have access to install software. If you are a faculty or staff member who is using a UAH-owned computer, your computer may be registered on the campus Active Directory. If that's the case, you should be able to install the Pulse Secure VPN client by following the instructions in this KB article.

If you need assistance with UAH's teleconferencing/videoconferencing solution, Zoom, please let us know.
