Installation Steps
Download the ArcGIS Installer
Follow the steps below to download the ArcGIS Installer.
- Visit https://uahuntsville.maps.arcgis.com/home/index.html.
- If you're not already logged in, click UAH SSO and log in.
- Click on your details in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- From the menu that displays, click My settings.
- Click Licenses on the menu via the left side menu.
- From the list of products, scroll down until you see ArcGIS Pro and click Download ArcGIS Pro.
- Choose your language in the pop-up box and click Download.
Install the ArcGIS Setup Application
- Run/Open the file when it finishes downloading. This will install the files needed to allow you to install the actual ArcGIS Pro application. The ArcGIS Pro installer files will be copied to the “Documents” folder for the current user that is signed in.
- If you have .NET already installed - Checking the Launch the setup program box and clicking Close will automatically launch into the ArcGIS Pro Installer.
Note: If you have the wrong version of .NET installed or .NET is not installed properly - the ArcGIS Pro installer will launch and ask you to download the correct version of .NET before you can continue. Please ensure you have .NET version 8.0.19 installed before continuing.
Install ArcGIS Pro Application
For most of the screens you will just click Next.
When presented with the Master Agreement, please click to agree and click Next.
Make sure it’s set to be installed for Anyone who uses this computer (all users) and then click Next.
It is recommended (but not required) that you deselect the options for participating in the experience program and sending reports to Esri where prompted. Click Install on that page.
It will take several minutes for ArcGIS Pro to install. Once it finishes, you should see the screen on which you can click Finish to run the software.
Login to ArcGIS Pro with UAH Single Sign On (SSO)
Assuming you have successfully installed ArcGIS version 3.5+, you should see a screen asking for sign-in information. You will need to click the drop down to select the Your ArcGIS Organization’s URL to sign in with UAH’s Esri portal.
For the Organization URL, enter uahuntsville
Check the box to Remember this URL, and click Continue.
Click UAH SSO and enter your Charger ID and password (and authenticate with Duo) as you normally do for myUAH and Canvas.
