External Storage Options

Storage Services Provided by UAH / Supported by OIT:

Google Drive is Google built in cloud storage. All UAH accounts have Google Drive access. Staff and student accounts have different storage limits. All staff accounts have 200GB and students have 10GB. OIT recommends that you leverage Google Drive as much as possible. UAH has a contract that protects our FERPA data in Google Workspace.

Network Drive/ File Share is a service that allows the sharing of files over the network. Access must be granted by OIT.

Other Storage Services (not recommended by OIT):

Microsoft OneDrive is Microsoft’s storage service. Every Microsoft account has access to 5 GB of OneDrive storage. For additional storage the user will need to pay a subscription. For more information on Microsoft OneDrive, visit Microsoft’s support page https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive. 

iCloud is Apple’s cloud storage service. Each user must pay a subscription to access. For more information on iCloud, visit Apple’s support page https://support.apple.com/icloud.
