Introduction
Due to an error affecting some users, CrashPlan backups may not be configured to back up the correct folder or files.
Steps
Identifying Incomplete CrashPlan Backups
- Visit the web portal at backup.uah.edu.
- In the top right corner, click the profile icon (which looks like a person's head and shoulders in a circle).
- Click on your name.

- Review the list of your backups with status information. If the status bar is red, your backup is incomplete.

The Correction
- Open the CrashPlan program on your computer by accessing it from your list of programs or as follows.
- On a PC, the icon will be located in the system tray in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. It may be hidden and can be found by selecting the carrot (^). On a Mac, the icon will be located in the finder/menu bar in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Select the CrashPlan icon to expand the options.
- Select the gear icon on the CrashPlan window.
- Click Open CrashPlan.
Note: If you do not have the software installed on your current device visit CrashPlan - Installing and Generating a Backup.
- Click Manage Files...
- Ensure that the folder name matches your Charger ID or how you log into your computer.

- Select the appropriate/desired folders or files for backup.
- Click Save.
- Return to the web portal at backup.uah.edu and check the status of your backups. If the bar for each is green, that backup has completed. Some backups take longer than others to complete based on files selected and network speed.
