Introduction
Please install Solid Edge 2022 from Chargerware along with the license file. It is recommended to install .NET 3.5 via Optional Features before installation. For troubleshooting common errors, see the "Troubleshooting" section below.
Install .NET 3.5 via Optional Features
1. In the Windows Search bar, search for "Turn Windows Features on or off"
2. Enable .NET 3.5 and click "OK"
3. Click "Let Windows Update download the files for you
4. This process may take some time, and a computer restart may be required.
Setup Installation Wizard
1. Double click the Solid Edge 2022 Installer download from Chargerware.
2. On the installation wizard, enter your UAH email, organization, and set the "License File" path to the SELicense.txt also download from Chargerware.
Troubleshooting
Error message "Setup has detected that another Solid Edge product is currently installed. The existing product must be uninstalled for setup to continue.
1. Ensure that "Siemens Solid Edge 2022" and "Keyshot" are uninstalled from "Apps" in Settings.
2. Pressing WinKey + R will open "Run" and enter "regedit"
3. Delete the following keys and all subkeys beneath them:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Siemens
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\UGS PLM Solutions Femap
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unigraphics Solutions
