Google Calendar Appointment Slots vs. Appointment Scheduling

Overview

On July 18, 2024, Google will be replacing the appointment slots feature with the newer appointment schedules.

Existing appointment slots will remain active until July 17, 2024. However, slots won’t automatically be migrated to schedules. If you're currently using appointment slots, We recommend setting up your new appointment schedule before July to ensure those you meet with will continue to be able to schedule meetings with you.

Slots vs. Schedules

Appointment Slots

Appointment slots allow you to define blocks of time with reservable slots.

Notably, only users who have a Google account can reserve a slot.

New! Appointment Schedules

Appointment schedules allow you to define a reoccurring schedule of bookable slots. This feature also allows you to share your availability via a booking page.

Non-Google users can also use this page to book appointments with you.
